From Pastor Adrien Claiborne:

The Bible is a book of promises. "How wonderful, how wonderful, how wonderful," God declares that he has begun a good work in us. The Apostle Paul declares this to us in Philippians 1:6. Paul is convinced that the work of grace that God began in the Philippians at conversion will be divinely continued until the day of Jesus Christ. That is, the Lord will keep working in believers until Jesus returns to earth, at which point he will finish His work, bringing it to completion. That's the beauty of God's great plan of redemption for mankind, He's progressively sanctifying us daily.

One might ask, in God's great plan of redemption, what am I saved from? God, through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, has saved us from the bondage of sin, destruction, guilt, and the lack of purpose it brings to your life. In the life to come, you are SAVED from the wrath of God and the eternal fires of HELL.

Now, as born again believers, we have access to all the benefits that flow from the Father (God) to his children. These benefits are righteousness, peace, joy, healing, and provision for every need. But, more importantly, you are SAVED to eternal life to live with God forever in Heaven after your life here on earth ends.

God loves all people and wants to be their loving Heavenly Father (John 3:16). He loves the sinner, but hates sin. God is Holy and cannot allow sin in His presence. The Bible says that all have sinned (Roman 3:23). The only way to deal with the problem of sin and to satisfy the holiness of God, is by the spiritual death of the sinner (Romans 6:23). However, if God sentenced you to death, you could not live with Him as His child. What did God do to solve that problem?

God sent Jesus to die for you!

Because Jesus lived a life without sin, God allowed Him to be your only substitute in death, receiving punishment for your sins (2 Corinthians 5:21). The good news is that Jesus, by his crucifixion and the shedding of His innocent blood, purchased Salvation for you (Acts 20:28).

As I conclude, remember we are joint heirs of Jesus Christ, and every promise in God's word belongs to you.

We, the family of True Light Worship Center, love you and ask that you continue to pray for us as we continue "Building from the ground up on The Word of God."
